Teresa Chin is an award-winning writer and reporter specializing in health and science issues. She has master’s degrees in public health and journalism from UC Berkeley. She lives in Oakland, California, where she works as a producer and media education director at Youth Radio. In her spare time, she enjoys reading scary-movie spoilers, attempting to play ukulele, and slow-jamming the news.

Zahid Rafiq was raised in the city of Srinagar, Kashmir. Since age 22, he has worked for Kashmiri, Indian, and American news outlets, reporting on crime, justice, and politics. During his first years on the job, he learned that sometimes, as a reporter, you can change things for the better. “Only sometimes, though,” he says.
Meghan Walsh is building a career as a freelance reporter in the San Francisco Bay Area. She has reported on a variety of topics, from sports to business, at outlets including Bloomberg Businessweek, The Atlantic, and the Arizona Republic. Her passions lie in matters of the head and heart, social justice, and culture. She became a journalist to answer the question of why.
Tyler Orsburn is the winner of the 2012 Dorothea Lange award, and is a photographer and multimedia reporter with an interest in sports and immigration. During his time at the UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism, he dispatched numerous stories about Richmond, California. Every morning for breakfast, he creates new and exciting omelets for his wife and two sons. At home, no leftovers go untouched.
Hyunjin Seo lives in Seoul, South Korea, where she has worked as a broadcast journalist for almost seven years. Seo is currently a reporter for Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation, one of the country’s three top networks. In 2007, she received South Korea’s Announcer of the Year award. Today she is an avid consumer of media of all kinds.
